about

Skyrider is at once a tribute to the book Skirmish by Melisa C. Michaels and a love letter to the space sims of the Atari ST and the Amiga - twin obsessions of 12 year old Rob that have rattled around his subconcious since 1991. It was put together using a series of ever creakier keyboards using the power of transposing to account for all the missing keys.
Rob wrote his very first tune on a Yamaha PSS-290 at around the same time, which has been reworked and recorded for Skyrider in the form of Hotshot. He claims to feel good getting back to his earlier, darker roots. A bit like Batman, if Batman's predominant skill was quoting Aliens
